Challenge yourself. Get active and support a worthy cause

Diabetes SA would like to invite all passionate members and supporters to join us in fundraising using Everyday Hero.

Giving isn't just about money. You give your time, your voice – you share your story, and experience, the cause you care about. All of that makes a huge difference when reaching out to the community and asking for support and donations.

Everyday Hero gives you the ability to create your own online fundraising page. In just minutes you can build and customise your page, then start sharing the link with your friends, family and colleagues and asking them to make a donation to Diabetes SA.

Every donation is then recorded on your fundraising page along with a message of support from your donors.

We can support you on your fundraising journey, share your cause on our website and social media, and help you to maximise your fundraising goals.

Types of Everyday Hero fundraising activities:

  • Events, such as runs, marathons or walkathons encourage physical participation and team or individual fundraising. These events run for a fixed period of time and have an overall fundraising or impact goal.
  • Personal peer-to-peer fundraising focuses on milestones, individual commitments or goals, fundraising in memory of your loved one, fundraising to raise awareness about diabetes by setting yourself a personal goal.

What to consider before you start

  • Your story and connection to the cause
  • Impact goal, fundraising goal
  • How you will spread the message
